Professional sports analysts have integrated gambling into their discussion of sports through broadcasts on TV, radio, and the Internet. In the perspective of some people, this is just another channel for gambling advertisements. Some sports fans believe that this is irresponsible and commentators who have large platforms should keep their commentary focus on the actual games rather than recommend potentially harmful gambling “opportunities” to their viewers who may not be able to discern what is safe for their wallet or not. From another perspective before sports betting was legal, it still happened a lot under the table and it’s something that is inevitable because there will always be demand and supply for it. That doesn’t necessarily mean that the professional analysts should be there promoting it, however that being said sports betting is also different in the sense that the bets can have an impact on the games outcome.
